What Causes Chest Pain And Diarrhea Post H.pylori Infection Treatment?

My 21 year old daughter is having chronic stomach problems. she was diagnosed with h-pylori and has taken all rounds of meds, been finished for about 2 weeks now. She still complains of hurting in chest and most of what she eats gives her diarrhea. What other tests would you recommend she have?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

For remission of H. pylori after treatment more reliable investigation is checking H. pylori in stool. If symptoms persist, long term antacids usage with omerperazole, and motilly agents like domperidone or itapride before meals may be helpful. Oral sucralfate suspension should also be used which can help significantly. If issues persists she may need upper GI endoscopy.

Wishing her a speedy recovery. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
