What Causes Chest Pain And Difficult Breathing?

I got, what I thought was a "lung cramp" yesterday and while the pain has diminished a great deal I still can't breathe deep or lay on my side w/out sharp pain...I've never had it last this long before. Is this normal or could it be something else? Thank you!

Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your concern.
In my opinion, you are mostly having musculoskeletal pain.
And it will slowly heal by itself in 5-7 days time.
You can do following things for better symptomatic relief.
1. Avoid bad postures in sleep.
2. Avoid movements causing pain.
3. Take painkiller and muscle relaxant drugs.
4. Apply warm water pad on affected areas.
5. Avoid heavyweight lifting and strenuous exercise.
Don't worry, you will be alright. If not improving in 1 week then consult doctor and get done chest x ray to rule internal pathology.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
