What Causes Chest Pain And Difficulty In Burping?

My 94 year old husband is having some mild chest pain, and feels like he needs to burp, but can t, He just had an EKG this a,m. and his heart seemed fine. He has only eaten a sliced of toast this morning. He gets some relief from Peptobismal. Should I call 911? He doesn t want me to!

try taking ppi like omeprazole empty stomach for 7 days as acidity sometimes can give heartburn but can also mimic heart symptoms. bigger medication comes with bigger side effects so better avoid them at this age until utmost necessary
