Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
HI! Im X, I am 23 years old. I am having chest pain and also my highblood pressure sometimes is 140/100 and I often feel dizzy. My Doctor recommend me to undergo ECG and when the result came it says that I have Left Ventricular Hypertrophy by Voltage criteria so my doctor recommended to undergo 2D Echo and Stress test. 2D echo result is normal still awaiting for the result of stress test. What test should I undergo if the stress test result is normal. Thank you so much!
If the ultrasound is normal then very likely there is nothing to worry, the ventricle is normal and there is nothing to worry with the heart. Having the result of the stress test will add to this and assure us but I am quite sure it will come out normal.
The only test I would further advise is TSH and FT4 to rule out problems with the thyroid as it might sometimes cause similar symptoms. If it comes out normal then very likely your symptoms are due to stress and anxiety and you will need to talk with your doctor related to proper treatment in your case.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Antoneta Zotaj, General & Family Physician
