General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptom your brother is experiencing is indicative of acute erosive gastritis. Acute erosive gastritis occurs due to the damage to stomach lining caused by alcohol and gastric acids. Please be advised to take your brother to the emergency room as erosive gastritis requires medical attention.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Lekshmi Rita Venugopal
