What Causes Chest Pain And Shortness Of Breath When Diagnosed With Sarcoidosis?
My son was diagnosed with sarcoidosis. He had chest pain and shortness of breath. A lung biopsy confirmed the diagnosis. It has progressed to stuttering, imbalance, confusionand body pain. An MRI of his brain showed a perfectly healthy brain. He has been told by University of Michigan, where he recieved treatment, that his sarcoidosis is in remission although his symptoms are becoming more severe. Where should he go from here?
Okay, stuttering can only come from the brain or psychological. Imbalance can be from the ears which are not generally looked at on an MRI but a specific exam of the ear with an MRI would show problems there.
The spine is more commonly hit by sarcoid and spinal problems cause weakness and pain.cannot say in your particular case, but generally, MRI's of the affected area are helpful for finding sarcoid. Also Alkaline Phosphatase measures which cost dollars, not hundreds would show if the sarcoid is active.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
