What Causes Chest Pain And Tightness In The Jaw?

For the last few days I have experienced chest pain in the centre of my chest and jaw tightness. The pain feels like pressure or really bad indigestion but I don t burp and have no gas. I have had panic attacks before similar to this. But the last three nights I have been nauseated and cant eat but have diarrhea sometimes uncontrollable. I have type 2 diabetes and have been inactive the last while because I have been feeling so tired and unwell I am on medications for diabetes, thyroid, depression and anxiety and blood pressure and cholesterol as well. Your advice?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Chest and jaw tightness might be due to a heart disease and you will need to have a check with your doctor to have some tests including an EKG to make sure your heart is well.
If the examination is normal and the tests do not find any abnormality than anxiety can be the cause of the symptoms.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
