What Causes Chest Pain Around The Heart?

Please help my husband has been complaining about chest pains around his heart and that it feels like something is trying to force its way out of his throat he is 60 years old and we live in an upstairs apartment and we do not know what is wrong with him

If her husband was my patient, the first thing I would advise him to do an ECG monitoring to rule out cardiac cause of the pain. Later I would think to a possible cause gastrointestinal. My advice is to contact a cardiologist for a thorough visit. If the pain gets worse go to the emergency room.
