What Causes Chest Pain During Exercise In A Child?

my sister is only 13, and shes been experiencing chest pains when she jumps runs and even when she is doing sit ups. She tells me that it is located from the top of her chest downwards to the middle of her chest. i know that when some children complain about chest pain, it is usually not serious, but i am very worried and i want an answer online before we go see a doctor. ( she has been jumping on a trampoline quite frequently in the past few days.)

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Pain in the chest while jumping and other physical activity is suggestive of musculoskeletal pain.
However, a clinical assessment will help to rule out disorders other than musculoskeletal pain.
Pain in chest can result from involvement of pleura. bone, lung parenchyma or heart.
Disorders pertaining to lungs, pleura or heart are more common in adults however, a clinical assessment will be helpful.
Rest and painkillers will resolve the pain if found to be musculoskeletal.

Thanks and take care
