What Causes Chest Pain Even After Taking Antibiotics For Bronchitis?

I have been on two antibiotics for bronchitis recently. I finished both courses and I still have pain in my lungs. I had a chest x ray that came back clear. I am a little worried because my mother died at at 42 from lung cancer. The doctor prescribed two inhalers, but they don't help much. The pain comes and goes. I don't feel anxious or have any issues with anxiety. I am concerned about exercising again. Do you have any ideas of what it could be? Maybe the infection is still lingering?

There is a large list of conditions causing chest pain. The causes may belong to any of the systems such a respiratory, cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, Musculo-skeletal. there for evaluation of reason for chest pain requires detailed assessment of symptoms, a through examination and then relevant investigations. If some one has normal Chest x ray picture, its possible that infection is not so much an issue to cause recurrent chest pain.
