What Causes Chest Pain On The Right Side?

I ve had chest pain in the right side of my chest for at least 6 months and it feels like in my rib cage. My doctor took an X-ray, an EKG, and a CT scan, but nothing showed up in those tests. The pain isn t going away. It s not a sharp pain prevents activity but is constant. Any idea what it might be?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I understand your concern.

The chest pain you feel in your right side of your chest for the last 6 months is due to 2 main issues:
- muscular-skeletal issues
- hyperacidity issues of the stomach

I am happy to know X-ray, EKG, ct-scan showed nothing.
Investigations should be concentrated on hyperacidity issues of the stomach, gallbladder issues through abdominal ultrasound and muscular skeletal problems (intercostal pain).

Discuss this further with your caring doctor.
