What Causes Chest Pain, Palpitations And Heartburn?
i feel fine until i eat. then i have chest pains, my heart races (100-110) and heart burn. i take antacids for the heart burn and that seems to help it. but still have the chest pain and the heart racing. i have never had stomach problems before, but now i also have heart burn over the littlest thing. i talked to my doc about and he said that it was normal...but if that is the case, how come it is just starting after 35 years. thank you!!!
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice
I recommend you to visit a cardiologist and do some examinations like an ECG, a cardiac sonography, a cardiac stress test and some routine blood tests. I don't know your medical past history or your family medical history but from what I read ,this may have to do with a possible cardiac problem ( pain after eating, chest burning sensation, heart palpitations, happening at the same time).
I would insist to first exclude a cardiac problem, and only after doing that we can see if this is an esophageal problem or something else.
All the best!
