What Causes Chest Pain When Suffering From Blood Clot In The Lungs?

I am 21 weeks pregnant are you had went to the ER Monday night and they did test a blood test called D-dimer and it came back positive for a lung blood clot in the left side but the doctor said it could be false be cuz of the pregnancy. My question is I have is I am having chest pain on the right side and lung pain on the same side along with trouble trying to take deep breaths and catch my breath could it be because of the possible lung clot?

Hello,

Even if you have a clot, it wont cause pain as it is inside blood vessels. Pain is due to mechanical reason and not due to clot.
