What Causes Chest Pain While Breathing And Sweaty Hands?

Hi, my son is 19 and, been having chest pains for around 1yr. He experiences a stabbing sensation when breathing and walking, sweaty hands and feet, feeling cold and very tired and sleepy. He has had a number of ecg and chest X-ray, but all come back clear. We ve tried pain killers and indigestion remedies, but nothing helps. I m really worried something might be wrong. Please, what s your opinion. Thank you Jo.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

As your son is having chest pain since 1 yr and all ECG and X-ray were normal, I would suggest you do 2 D Echo after cardiologist consultation and coronary angiography or CT chest if required. Along with that also check for haemoglobin level.

Treatment mainly depends on the underlying conditions. you can take painkillers for pain relief.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shyam B. Kale, General & Family Physician
