Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have chest pain on my right side that is worse when I breathe in. It feels deep and dull almost like there is something in there. I am breathless and have a cough. I have had a cold for about 6 weeks. I am on antibiotics and prednisolone for 4 day and do not feel any better.
This could possibly be from a muscle strain between your ribs, which may be from the cough you have had recently. There may also be a cause inside your lungs, such as a pneumonia, so if you have a fever, or you feel like you are getting more short of breath or the cough is getting worse, I would suggest getting a chest x-ray if you haven't had one, to see if they can find the cause for these symptoms.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Aaron Branch, General & Family Physician
