Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Yes, this pain is mostly due to nerve root compression. So in my opinion, you should definitely consult orthopedic doctor and get done clinical examination and MRI of thoracic and lumber spine. This will tell you about severity of nerve compression. You may need corrective surgery if compression is severe. Some mild cases respond to physiotherapy, Pregabalin or Gabapentin tablets. So consult orthopedic doctor and discuss all these.

Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
