What Causes Chest Pain While Eating Or Drinking?

I am 22 years old and for the last week or so I have had a pretty mild sore throat (only on the right side) and it hurts to swallow. Now my chest has also started to hurt in a similar way when eating or drinking. It's not severe but it's very uncomfortable. Thoughts on what might be the cause?

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Throat pain and chest pain while eating is suggestive of acid reflux and gastritis.
So better to follow these steps for better symptomatic relief.
1. Avoid hot and spicy food. Avoid junk food.
2. Avoid large meals, instead take frequent small meals.
3. Take pantoprazole and levosulperide combination on empty stomach twice daily.
4. Quit smoking and alcohol if you have these habits.
5. Loose weight if you are obese. Go for walking after meals.
Don't worry, you will be alright with all these.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
