What Causes Chest Pain While Sneezing And Coughing?
Good morning In February i was diagnosed with Pulmonary Embolism. my right lung had partially collapsed prior to the diagnosis and i also had pleural effusion. i am currently on Xarelto. for a couple weeks now i have chest pains when i sneeze, cough or breathe deeply. Recently i have developed pulpitations and sometimes i feel lightheaded. i m worried now. is there something wrong with my heart. i am only due for a review with the physician next month. thank you. catherine.
The problem is in all probability with your lungs. You had pleural effusion. This in itself can cause chest pain, especially while coughing, beep breathing, sneezing. That means you still do have pleural infection, and need to get the infection resolved. You would have to take antibiotics. Please do consult a Pulmonoligist. Doctor would, after examining you advise required investigations including blood tests and XRay chest. Treatment then can be started. If required doctor can refer you to the cardiologist to rule out any cardiac problem.
