What Causes Chest Pain While Suffering From A Heart Disease?

Hi. I am a heart patient with both CAD and small vessel disease. Over the last 10 years I ve had 15 stents and a bypass surgery. My last 3 stents were last December upon which my heart guy told me my heart was completely clear for the time being and any subsequent angina I might have would probably be due to the small vessel. I also have COPD with 78% lung function and I am a 32-yr HIV survivor, undetectable with cd4s around 300, where they ve been for years. Today I awoke with a persistent chest pain on the right side and/or center which manifests itself as a dull pain when I inhale. I do not think it is cardiac because it worsens when i inhale. i haven t tried my nitro yet to see if it helps. Any thoughts?

Hi,

Consult a physician and get evaluated. Serial ECG is required to rule out cardiac causes.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
