What Causes Chest Pain While Suffering From Bronchitis?

My very healthy 79 year old father was diagnosed with bronchitis on Friday. He played 18 holes of golf today. When he got home, he told me that yesterday he had chest pains and had to stop and vomit, once in Sam s Club and once on the Greenbelt walking the dog. He felt fine playing golf today. He says he thinks it was a build up of mucus or maybe the medicine he is taking. Should we be concerned?

Thanks for contacting healthcare magic.

You have history of bronchitis and taking drugs for it.There is more chanses of lung infection. Chest X ray can done for further diagnosis.

After sputum culture test start proper antibiotics course. Sputum sensitivity test to check any improvement in infectionoinfection or not. Still there is problem than consent a pulmonologist for further treatment.

I hope my guidance helpful to you..
Take care.
Thank you.
