Hello and thank you for using HCM. I carefully read your question and I understand your concern. I will try to explain you something.
Heart valve problems and ischemic heart disease are to different issues. In some cases, problems related with ischemic heart disease may lead to valvular incompetency. But this happens if a person passes a heart attack that lead to heart insufficiency and than to valvular incompetence or leaking. But this is not your case. You had just a simple slight valve leaking. Normally, in general, valve leaking does not cause chest pains.
Chest pains are related with ischemic heart disease. You tell for an episode of angina years ago.
You should know that angina, ischemic pains generally have some characteristics. They are retrosternal chest pains, like heaviness, tightness, irradiated maybe to one or both arms, jaw, neck and prolong from 10 to 30 minutes. If you feel this simptoms, if you feel fatigue or chest discomfort in efforts than you should seek medical attention.
Your symptoms has typical and atypical characteristics. So, if i was your treating doctor i woud say that it is time to do another chek up with an electrocardiogram, echo-cardiography and may be a stress test to understand what are this chest pains
Hope I was helpful. Wish you good health. Best regards.
