Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I ve had two episodes of chest pain in the last couple of weeks that felt like heartburn/reflux but were not relieved by Hyoskyamine. Both times, the pain intensified and radiated into the jaw. Both times, baby asperin relieved the pain within 15 minutes. I have anxiety problems and use a very low dose of Xanax to sleep at night, but neither episode felt like a panic attack. Could this be angina? Can it wait until my regular physical in February? I am 68 and there is no history of heart problems in my family. Do not take BP or cholesterol medicine.
Your symptoms could be due to myocardial infraction/angina, reflux disease, indigestion. But I think you have to consult internal medicine specialist as soon as possible to rule out infraction/angina. I would suggest to undergo chest x-ray, ECG scan, blood test for cardiac marker. You can take syrup Mucaine, tablet Diclofenac, Tablet Esmoprazole, Myocardial infraction and angina require immediate treatment by aspirin, clopidogrel, statins, streptokinase, nitroglycrine and oxygen inhalation.
Hope this may help you. Contact further if follow up needed.
Best regards, Dr. Sagar
