I survived a 100% occlusion in the LAD in October (widow-maker) through the placement of a stent. I have minor chest pains daily (they vary in intensity and location) and my cardiologist said he was not concerned following my last visit which included an EKG. Can I expect these pains to eventually disappear or are they a normal side effect of the heart attack. My cardiologist also said there was no damage to the heart during the heart attack. I have closely followed prescription protocol and nutrition intake, but am concerned about recurrence. Am I at greater risk of recurrence.
