My son (18) recently started having chest pains in the heart area which he noticed the first time when he was in Basketball practice about a week or two ago, He was sent to the college physician who said he could not find anything wrong. No EKG was taken. His father and I have a large families, but only one of my uncles has had a history in heart problems. Should my son just "keep an eye on it" as the college physician recommended or should he visit with a cardiologist before he has symptoms again?
