What Causes Chest Pains, Vomiting And Brief Faint For A 25-year-old?

My son is 25 years old and gets these attacks such as chest pains, vomiting with a brief spell of passing out. He was in the ER and they checked his heart, blood, etc. Everything was ok. By the time he left err blood pressure was normal. Had him on a heart monitor and it was ok. We are worried and don t know where to go next.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to gastroesophageal reflux disease.

I suggest using Maalox three times a day.

I also suggest using Omeprazole 20 mg in the morning before breakfast.

I recommend to avoid food that can trigger the symptoms such as caffeine, spicy or fried food.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi
