What Causes Chest Pressure And Belching?

My teenage son is experiencing pressure on his chest and eventually he can burp, but the concern is it is happens a lot. The burping sounds like a frog croaking. I had taken him to his paediatrician and was told could be from his diet. Would appreciate your diagnose and advice. Regards, Nathan Auw-Yang.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It is possible that it is related to his diet.

He would need to reduce the use of the following foods can contribute to the problem: (a) spicy/acidic/fatty /fried foods
(b)reduce tomatoes, onions, mint, chocolate as well
(c)reduce the portion sizes of meals. Eat small meals frequently rather than large meals

There are also some foods that cause excess gas production such as broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, turnips, brussel sprouts, beans.

I hope this helps
