What Causes Chest Pressure And Shortness Of Breath?
hello,
i am getting chest pressure and shortness of breath throughout the day on a daily basis. I cannot run like use to because of this, i am 33 years old. I have had a chest non contract ct and a xray. 2 of the xrays showed a xiphod opacity on the retosternial (i was told on top of the heart was the location). What should i do and what kind of specialist should i see?

Pressure in chest with shortness of breath need immediate medical attention.
It is important to exclude cardiopulmonary causes.
You may need clinical examination and investigations.
Relevant investigations are routine hemogram,random blood sugar,liver and renal function test,lipid profile,ECG in all leads,ECHO,TMT,thyroid profile etc.
You may need contrast CT scan of thorax.It is important to evaluate retrosternal opacity.
You need detail evaluation by a cardiologist.
