What Causes Chest Soreness And Unusual Taste In Mouth While On Aspirin For Sarcoidosis?

I suffer from scarcodosis and was recently prescribed aspirin (250mg x2) daily. The symptoms have improved which included soreness behind the breast bone and under arm lymph nodes. however after three weeks of treatment I now suffer from a metallic taste in my mouth could this be due to the medication.

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC ..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your query metallic taste in mouth seems to be due to side effect of taking Aspirin while it can also be due to side effects of other Medication if you take any..
You need not to worry as the symptoms will resolve once the intake of medicines is stopped..
In case if the symptoms does not resolve after stopping the medications consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated for other possible cause like Poor hygiene, sinus and respiratory tract infection, acid reflux, Oral infections etc..
As of now chew flavored sugar free chewing gum, gargle with flavored mouthwash and drink plenty of water..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
