What Causes Chest Tightness And Cough With History Of Having Bronchitis?
Hello...since January I have had bacterial pnemonia, and bronchitis twice. I just finished two rounds of antibiotics this last time and a steroid, and now after a week of being off the antibiotics i had another fever,my symptoms are tight chest, unproductive spasmatic cough fever and extreme fatigue. Serious extreme fatigue. The walk in just took blood, it all came up normal. any ideas?
Hello and welcome to HCM, Tightness in chest, unproductive spasmodic cough, fever and fatigue are suggestive of recurrence of pneumonia. A clinical assessment is required. Since, the cough is unproductive, there is possibility of atypical pneumonia like pneumonia caused by mycoplasma, Legionella etc, thus the symptoms will not respond to conventional antibiotics. Thus, treatment for atypical pneumonia is required for which you need to consult your physician for clinical assessment and relevant investigations like X-ray chest.
