What Causes Chest Tightness, Wheezing And Fever In A Child?

My 3 yr old was in the hospital a couple of weeks ago for chest tightness and wheezing and fever. Spent 4 days in there. Was sent home with inhaler and was doing well but has started coughing again and wheezing. Pediatrician prescribed a steroid flooding and albuterol in case this happened. I think she has allergies and athsma has had this caught for 3 days now and her voice is hoarse. Is there anything else I can do and whAt should be my next step with the pediatrition

Hello,

Chest tightness and wheezing may be due to lower respiratory tract infection or asthma. She may also have pharyngitis. Use water vapor inhalation and salt water gargling thrice a day. Continue antibiotics, bronchodilators and expectorents.

If symptoms not improved please get it done chest x-ray, complete blood picture, eosinophil count and urine examination. If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
