What Causes Chills Along With Body Ache And Fatigue?

I am at 9000 feet at Colorado Cabin. I got severe chills last night, though the cabin did not have heat on. This morning I woke up with severe body aches all over and great fatigue. I feel like I have a fever but don t have a thermometer until tomorrow. I have been taking tramadol every 4 hours. Main pain is hip area where I had a cross rod implant 5 years ago. My suspicion is flu symptoms. Thank you.

I understand your concern.

Fever ,chills,fatigue can be due to common flu but if it is viral flu it will resolve itself by 3-4 days.
As you are exposed to cold environment and are on outdoor,it may be due to upper respiratory tract infection with secondary bacterial infection if it lasts beyond 3 days.
Fatigue in general may be giving you pain at hip where implant was put.Other possibility is bacteremia causing implant to get seeded from an infectious source in body.
It definitely needs antibiotics course.
URTI bacterial infections can be managed through a course of erythromycin/doxycycline for 7-10 days.(prescription drug)
Take antipyretic analgesic combination like paracetamol acetaminophen/aclofenac thrice a day for fever.
Take plenty of fluids to maintain hydration.

Persistence of symptoms may demand consultation of physician and blood culture.
