What Causes Chills Along With Headache And Sore Throat?
Since Monday I have had chills, mild fever, body aches, headache and a mild sore throat. I have been taking mucinexmd, tylenol and nasal spray, which has helped. I have not had any mucus yet to cough up. The chills, headache, fever and body aches are gone. As of last night I now have a very painful sore throat where it hurts to swollow and a very little congestion. I just slept straight 17 hours and my throat feels a little better. What is the next step. Do I need to see a phyiscian?
The fact that there is some improvement of your symptoms means that you can consider continuing home treatment with rest, fluids and medication as needed.
Pain medication can be used for the sore throat example: Ibuprofen, Voltaren. Topical medication such as chloroseptic or covonia, can be used.
A decongestant would help with the nasal symptoms.
I hope this helps.
Take Care!
