What Causes Chills And Body Ache After Suffering From Bladder Infection?
I had a bladder infection and my Doc prescribed Nitrofurantoin (100mg) twice a day. After a week I had chills, body aches etc in the night and then the diarrhea started. She then prescribed Saccharomyces and Metamucil twice daily. I have had my stool examined and C-Dif has been ruled out, but the lab is still testing it. I feel pretty healthy except for the continuing problem.

It is due to urinary tract infection.
Consult a urologist and plan for a urine culture and start antibiotics according to the culture report.
Nothing much to worry and you will improve with proper antibiotics.
