What Causes Chills And Chronic Cough While On Rifampin?

Dr. Dinesh, I ve been taking Rifampin for 1 month now and every week I am experiencing chills and flue like symptoms. Recently I am coughing and I also feel very tired and not able to concentrate at all. Today for example I start coughing and at 1 moment I was also coughing white sputum. It stoped for a while and now it started again this time without sputum but is a deep cough that I can not control. It is also mixed in with a headich.

Rifampicin itself not causes cough. Probably you have secondary bacterial infection in your lung, which causes cough. Finally end with 'Hope I have answered your question.
