Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been going from chills to sweats for the pasty couple of days. Headaches (not major) are part of it and nothing tastes good. I ve tried drinking water, lemonade and when I eat food it is just to fill my stomach so I don t have a reaction to the fluids. I am extremely tired and have been sleeping for long hours. Went to work today--was feeling pretty good but started getting chills and sweats again. Also, the first night I had the chills, my whole body ached really badly. Have only taken Excedrin and fluids. Any suggestions as to what I may have. I have had kidney stone problems in the past and last episode gave me extreme chills and sweats..just a little concerned.
I think you may just have a common cold or flu. You can use Tylenol or Advil for pain relief and fever. Also can take Reglan for nausea. The symptoms will get better and go away in five days.
If they still continue you should get further evaluation such blood count and formula, tuberculosis and HIV tests, thyroid hormone levels, etc.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
