What Causes Chills, Swallowing Problem And Spitting Brown Flem With Blood?
Hi am concerned about my father every so often he wakes in the night feeling he has a chill and cant stop shivering this will last for about 5 hours then after he feels very weak for the rest of the day, he has also had trouble swallowing his food every so often as it feels like acid coming back up also he is spitting up brown flem with some blood in some times apart from that he is fit and healthy
I read carefully your query and understand your concern.
The swallowing difficulty of your father seem to be relate to an acid reflux disease. I suggest to use an PPI medication to lower the acidity in the stomach such as Prilosec. I also suggest using antacids such as Maalox three times a day. I recommend to avoid food that can trigger the symptoms such as spicy food.
