What Causes Chills While On Medication For Blood Clot In The Leg?

i am 81 years old and have heart condtion that has been monatered by dr. Earlier this year a developed a blood clot in my left leg I am on medication for that also. Now for two days in the evening I am getting hot and cold chills I was so cold last night I had layers of cloths on and sever al blanket etc.

I can understand your condition as i had gone through your complaints. Anticoagulants are the medication necessary for blood clots in your leg. But one important thing we have to keep in mind while using anticoagulant is hypertension. If the patient is suffering from hypertension, then the dosage of drug should be very minimal. Otherwise it may cause hot and cold chills.

First of all check your blood pressure and control the levels. In such case you can use medication for blood clots without any hesitation.
