What Causes Choking Sensation In Throat While Eating?
When I eat an apple, I swallow it without a problem, but after I finish eating the apple, it feels like a liitle piece of the apple is in my throat. This lasts for 15 minutes. I have had GERD and take 20mg of nexium each day and have done so for 10 years. I have no reflux.

GERD is caused by acid reflux and increased acidity damages the mucosal lining of food pipe which results in scarring and decreased lumen.
I would advice you to take opinion of gastroenterologist as local visualization of food pipe(gastroscopy) might be required for local examination.
