What Causes Chronic Abdominal Pain?

Hi, i have been trying to manage my abdominal pain for 7 months and has gotten really bad recently. I had an xray, bloodwork, urine and stool test 2 months ago, showed nothing. Taking 2 ranitidine seems to make the pain manageable for about 8 hours so i started taking 2 tablets 3 times daily now. So if the doctors say i have too much stomach acid and i have regular bowl movements, have no ulcers or acid reflux/heartburn what could it be? The pain is in the center below the sternum. My mom wants my gallbladder to get looked at. If its my gallbladder, would ranitidine help the symptoms?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi welcome to the health care magic

Here you can have chronic gastritis or other organic cause

For work up you can be investigated with urea breath test for h. Pylori...

USG also should be done

According to cause further specific treatment given apart from antacid

If still needed endoscopy can be done for further work up

If no specific cause found than functional bowel problem might be the cause

Avoid stress

Take care

Consult physician for examination
