What Causes Chronic Constipation And Foul Smelling Bowel Movements?
My 5yo daughter is frequently constipated and her urine always smells odd. She has a congenital heart defect and takes epaned and aspirin daily. Her kidney reflux was corrected with surgery two yrs ago. She also has stomach malro. I m concerned about the urine odor. She doesn t exhibit any signs of infection (as we became quite familiar with those before she had surgery to correct reflux). She also had heart surgery at age 4 months. Will high potassium levels cause urine odor? What could be the cause?

Usually the drugs may cause like aspirin inhibition of Cox enzyme and prostaglandin in kidney lead to increased concentration of urine and altered smell.
Other possibilities like infection like E.coli , proteus may produce odor. Taking Coloring agents or aminoacid uria like conditions present like this.
