I have chronic constipation with persistent gas and typically go weeks without having a bowel movement. When I am able to go it is often very painful with the waste being very large and impacted. I take suboxone for an opiate addiction which is likely the root of the problem but seeing as I m going to be on this medication long term I m looking for something other then short term laxatives. I already take a regular fiber supplement with no improvement as of yet.
