What Causes Chronic Cough After Exposure To Paint Fumes?
Hi, our office was freshly painted 2days back and we were working while the job was being done. Since yesterday i have been coughing[it hurts just a tiny little bit] and I am worried it could be because of the paint. Is there anything i can do to protect myself from getting any serious infection as a result of that? In the mean time I am drinking evaporated liquid milk.
definitely, the paints are toxic and it is good to avoid working sitting in the place or keep all the doors and windows open well ventilated to get more fresh air if you cannot go out. I am not sure if wearing a mask would help it would be more of inconvenience and suffocation to me but if you think it helps you can choose but good ventilation is more important than a mask as already you are exposed to paints and have symptoms so need to treat yourself with fresh air and avoid the place if you can. evaporated milk is good and is harmless but it's the canned product so could be contributing to your cough minimally.
