What Causes Chronic Cough And Bad Taste In The Mouth?

Good afternoon. My wife, daughter (4) and I have had a persistent cough with bad taste in our mouths for over 2 weeks now. No one is running a fever or other symptoms other than coughing up mucus. During the day the mucus in mostly clear but night and early mornings it is yellow. Any ideas on treatment to get rid of this annoying cough?
