I had sick about may 4th 2017 and got better until May 10th and now I m coughing about 6 weeks from now. I chew tobacco for 18 years. Once a while I do drink beer. I haven t get chance to talk to Doctor. That morning I woke up body cold and outside was 85* and my body was cold all day long put my jacket on. I don t have no clue what is the deal is. Since you are experiencing chills along with chronic cough, Tuberculosis is a possibility especially if you have a recent history of exposure. Sputum analysis, microscopy, culture and chest Xray are required to find firm the diagnosis. Treatment with antibiotics should be initiated once diagnosis is confirmed and measures to prevent spread of infection should also be undertaken. I would also reco.mend checking your thyroid levels, as hypothyroidism can also present with chills(however hypothyroidism is not associated with coughing).
