What Causes Chronic Cough And Hives On The Arms And Legs?

OK. Lots of cough (dry) for 5 weeks, went to ER 4 weeks ago for restricted breathing (they said bronch spasm) gave albuterol for emergency , hives on arms, legs, and stomach, bronch weezing daily, white blood cells way up (the ones that react to allergies are up), took breathing test = small airways restricted, chest x ray shows no pnumonia or other obvious issue, but the wheezing, coughing, hives and bronchial rattling is not going away?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my clinical experience, the chronic cough with bronchospasm, hives on arms and legs indicate underlying allergic conditions of the lung or other immune related systems. In my clinic, I do recommend specific evaluation of absolute eosinophil count, antibodies levels for precise diagnosis and further care accordingly. An immune specialist is of paramount importance in this case.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
