What Causes Chronic Cough And Pain In The Rib Cage?

I have had a severe cough for about 2 weeks and it is better but now I have extreme pain on my right side kinda under my last rib cage. It sends sharp pains that make me hunch over and make it hard to take a deep breath. Any ideas on what is going on with me?

As you mentioned you have problem of chronic cough history and pain at chest area that may be because of lung infection or lesion of lung or other reasons..

Chest X ray can done for further diagnosis..
Consult a pulmonologist for further diagnosis..

Detail history and investigation give exact idea about problems..
If infection is present than start proper antibiotics under doctor's suggestion..
