What Causes Chronic Cough And Pain In The Throat?

Hi have a very mucusy cough that sometimes hurts when I cough too hard, the coughing has caused my throat to hurt a little but its mainly just the mucus caught up in there. I do not however have a fever, im not in alot of pain but im wondering if i should see a doctor just to be safe

Hello. You take a course of antibiotis preferably Tab. Amoxclav three times a day for 5 days, syrup Ambrodyl/Brozedex 5ml three times a day for 5 days. Do salt water gargling in leuke warm water. You will be fine. If still not relieved, then blood test (complete blood count) to see if there is allegy and chest x ray may be needed. So you can consult a doctor. Regards- Dr Sanjay Kini
