What Causes Chronic Cough And Swelling In The Throat?
A few days ago I had a coughing attack for about 15 minutes after my drink came up and spit out all over the place. I had been coughing for 3 weeks prior to that with a summer cold. Since I have experienced a tightness and swelling in my throat and when I swallow. Glands hurt but Dr. ran tests and no bacterial infection showed up. I feel tightness and a lump. I do have a hyetal hernia and Gerd but I have never had problems with my throat like this before or swallowing or tightness. I am scared.

itcan be pharyngitis or tonsilitis. start warm saline gurgling get your throat examined by ent surgeon.throat swab can be taken for culture and sensitivity. most effective antibiotic can be taken in full course. take vitamin c and probiotic.take bland diet and consult gastroenterologist for surgical option of hiatus hernia.
