My friend had breast cancer 17 years ago and has had reg checks and been fine but now she s had a bad cough and tightness in her chest. She went to a dr and was given antibiotics and a blast of prednisone with zero resust had a chest x-ray and it shows thickening of the walls - what does that mean

The thickening of the walls in the lungs are due to the infection that is being treated.
Inflammation of the airspaces can occur due to infection and this would cause thickening to occur.
It would slowly resolve as she improves
