What Causes Chronic Cough And Tight Sensation In The Chest?

hi. I have been coughing for at least 4 months now. mostly during the day. It is a dry cough until i get to some mucus. I also have tightness in my chest. I have had a chest scan it was clear. I have tried allergy meds, small pearl pills, acid reflux medicine. Nothings seems to help. I need to know what kind of doctor to see. Iv'e been to my primary twice.

cough with sputum production more than 14 days promptly treated.

If you have sputum production till now then you can check sputum AFB.

if it comes negative then no need to worry .

You may consult with pulmonologist for further evaluation.

only dry cough means you may have allergy. it will be evaluated with your pulmonologist.
